The brief

The front of the house had been neglected for years. The owners wanted proper parking for two cars and an approach that suited a period house.

The challenge

Surface water running off the lane onto the drive, a front garden over five square metres that needed a permeable surface, and an old wall that had to be rebuilt to match.

What we did

A deep sub-base under a stabilised gravel surface lets water drain straight through. We rebuilt the entrance wall in matching local stone, and planted the edges to soften the approach.
